It has been a busy time in The Little Acorns Studio.

Joanne came down from Wiltshire to help at the Marshgate WI 4 Corner Craft day and had booked on my Halloween workshop so she stayed with me for a fortnight and she caught up on all my class projects that she wanted to paint with me. Joining in with other students and the extra bonus of a one to one lessons, she traveled back home with a bag full of newly painted treasures to display. Margaritha Pronks Cute Ostriches - Canal Art File Folder - Babon Bear Goes Fishing designed by Jo Sonja - Salem the Witch is In designed by Charlotte Fletcher - and finally Country Chickens Chopping Board designed by Terrye French & Sharon Cook. Honor joined in too for the Halloween project last Friday and the Chopping Board Sunday. Happy days playing with paint :-)

All caught up - now to plan more c;lasses to whet everyones appetites :-)

Marsgate WI 4 Corner Craft Day

We had a brilliant day painting the poppy project.
Sadly only had time to take one photo of the morning class. Twelve industrious ladies busy painting their poppies. Wendy on the left finished her poppies and is checking her phone, waiting patiently for everyone else to catch up. I wished I'd taken the end results. With only 2 hours we were a bit pushed for time but everyone finished their painting and a few still needed to cut out and attach their poppies to the card base at home. A big Thank You to Joanne for offering to help, I would have struggled on my own.
The other tutors taught Willow Weaving, Fabric Flowers and Fabric Christmas Bauble. Over seventy local WI members attended the day in Crackington Haven Village Hall. Wonderful views across the countryside and out to sea.

More Craft Fair Stock ...

........ 2 more patio pots and notebooks.
Attempting to re-kindle the technique of painting Ros Singleton style of roses - so rusty! need more practise me thinks.

One more pot - a few more notebooks and 6 small diaries and whatever I can find to add to the stock and then I'm done for this one.
Happy Painting.

Busy Prepping ...........

Marshgate WI Four Corner Craft Day.

What better project than Red Poppies for this special year of Remembrance.
Inspired by Lola Gill

A lot of prep to do for 24 students - YIKES.
It's keeping me out of mischief!

Tracing & Transferring on Card Blanks and Black card.
They obviously like the project I've not had take up like this on previous visits to Marshgate.

Planning a You Tube Video to back this one up ...... watch this space.

Happy Prepping and Painting
